Candles provide a really pleasant soft light but smoke and drips of wax can be a pain. These feeder mechanisms do not dribble down the side with the slightest draught. The metal controls the height of the top of the candle to suit the glass and the glass completely stops draughts from having any effect.

They work well out of doors and can be safely carried, upright of course.

This one is in Cherry wood.

When you want to put them out hold the glass by the main part where its coolest lift it off and snuff the flame between moist finger and thumb. If you blow it out, like any candle, you get smelly smoke for a little while after

If you blow down the chimney you get  smoke first then a sooty glass.
